Our Services

Mission
Our mission is to provide exceptional philanthropic services to private and family foundations in order to help them bring their philanthropic passions to life.

Supporting impact
Because we have provided on-going staffing to multiple foundations for many years, we have developed unique practices geared to maximizing the resources and giving-power of small and medium-sized foundations.

Our team approach brings this experience, along with diverse professional skills, to the table so that each of our clients can identify the services they want, and design the program that will meet their individual needs. We help philanthropists plan strategically, develop and implement programs, and work toward critical outcomes in their communities.

PPS’s experienced consulting staff can help facilitate meetings, act in a coaching role, and as a philanthropic resource for our clients. We have special expertise in board training and engagement, succession and long-term planning, and multi-generational transitions.

Foundation staffing and management
PPS provides both long-term, and short-term philanthropic services. Our ongoing foundation management services support our clients’ Boards, philanthropic activities, and goals; as well as special projects and intermittent activities. We provide professional leadership, grants program staffing, and complete administrative and financial back-office systems. We also provide short-term professional-level and administrative staffing that allows foundations to add capacity without having to add the expense expanding their on-going staff.

Right-sized and simple practices
PPS can provide any or all of the back-office services you need, be the public interface for your foundation, and provide the online platform to support your grantmaking. We can also help you:

  • Update your online grantmaking and digital processes so that they are easy and accessible for both your applicants and for your Board members
  • Develop strong fiduciary and governance practices that fit your Board’s interests and foundation size
  • Set-up financial due diligence and evaluation tools to strengthen the process in your granting initiatives

PPS empowers foundation leaders and Directors to be dynamically engaged in the philanthropic activities that interest them the most, to confidently delegate administrative and day-to-day activities to the extent they wish, and to know that their organization is well run, their grantmaking is well managed, and their community investments are making a difference.
